Blue Lotus

Throughout history, jewelry artisans have been inspired by the designs of ancient Egypt.  The lotus flower is one of the eternal symbols of the sun and creation, and is a popular motif in jewelry.  We are proud to present a beautifully designed necklace evoking the lotus in elaborate black and blue stone beadwork.  The rich blue color contrasts beautifully with the black onyx.  It is jewelry fit for a queen.

Onyx was adored by the ancients, and has endured as a symbol of protection and stability, and is believed to have healing properties.  This one of a kind artisan necklace makes a powerful statement both metaphysically and visually.  We invite you to visit us for a personal viewing of our Blue Lotus.

Approximately 18 inches long.  Centerpiece measures 5.25 inches x 3 inches.  Small round onyx beads on necklace are 4.40 mm.  Large round onyx beads are 8.50 mm.  Sterling lobster clasp.

A Little Bit of Kindness

Kindness and compassion towards all living beings is a mark of a civilized society.  Racism, economic deprival, dog fighting, cock fighting, bull fighting, and rodeos are all cut from the same fabric: violence.  Only when we have become nonviolent towards all life will we have learned to live well ourselves.

The quote above is by Cesar Chavez, who was a very important person in the fight for civil and animal rights.  He spent decades tirelessly working towards better labor conditions and wages, and he co-founded the United Farm Workers union.   He was a vegan because he believed in animal rights.

Here’s another organization that you should get to know: SHARK, which is short for Showing Animals Respect and Kindness.  They fight against animal cruelty and abuse, and here is their website: http://www.sharkonline.org/
